With the continuous improvement of living conditions and social awareness,the development of children's physical and mental problems has become the focus of attention to the family.Children's products have also greatly increased in the market.However,the analysis of children products is still incomplete.Child groups are a complex group,their inner world changes rapidly.Therefore,children developmental psychology should be taken as the theoretical basis to study children characteristics with children products.Through the study of developmental psychology,people's knowledge of children is getting deeper and deeper.From the point of view to children's life,children furniture used most frequently.Therefore,the selection of children's furniture as the object of study can better grasp the needs of children,reflecting the unique characteristics to children.Based on the literature research and the theories of child development,emotion design and child cognition.The research takes 3-8 years old children as a group.3-8year old children from the ignorant to the perfect mind,this age ranges of change is enormous.Using developmental theory research can better grasp the children's appeal point and the characteristics of growth.Mainly from the children's thinking characteristics and physiological features,from the perspective of developmental psychology,we sum up the emotional needs and physiological needs of this age group.Combining these appeals with furniture design,so that the furniture products can fit for children's healthy growth.On one hand,through the design of experiments,the experimental data is used to prove that children of different ages and different genders have different requirements for colors,shapes,materials and functions.Using scientific and rational experimental methods,we can better grasp the design factors.The experimental evaluation partmainly uses the subjective questionnaire survey method,the child self-rating scale,the semantic difference methods,the interview method.On the other hand,the experimental data and results are collated and analyzed.To judge the correlation of furniture color,shape and material with children's age and sex.Finally,according to the experimental analysis of the article,the design principles of furniture products are putting forward,followed by the design principles,and the corresponding design practice.The analysis of the results of this paper will be of guiding significance to the design and research of children's furniture in China.At the same time,color,material and other scientific experimental design analysis can used for other children's products.
