Nano devices based on graphene surface plasmons possess the ability of exciting different mode of plasmon resonances and restraining electromagnetic wave in nanoscale,therefore graphene has promising application prospect in near infrared optics and integration optics.This paper focuses on the design of graphene half wave plate and the tunable of graphene plasmon resonances to study its performance and every parameter.The main works of this thesis are as follows:1?We have systematically studied the polarization state and polarization conversion of light,making a lot of research on the theory and function of traditional half wave plate,metamaterials half wave plate and graphene half wave plate.Finally,we designed a half wave plate based on graphene surface plasmon resonance,which can arouse different mode of plasmon resonance according to the polarization state of incident light to realize polarization conversion.2?Based on the structure and theory of graphene half wave plate,we have systematically studied its performance and every parameter.We also introduced its advantages compared with traditional half wave plate and metamaterials half wave plate.3?Compared with traditional semiconductor materials,the greatest advantage of graphene is its tenability,so we can realize a tunable half wave plate through changing the Fermi energy of graphene,which can change the polarization state of different wavelength light.Above all,half wave plate based on graphene has potential application in many optical devices.
