Polypropylene terpolymer is synthesized by propylene as main reactants,butene and ethylene as comonomer,due to the addition of butene,the crystallinity and melting temperature of polypropylene terpolymer both decrease compared with the propylene-ethylene copolymer,as well as the seal initiation temperature,so polypropylene terpolymer is more suitable for manufacturing the heat-seal layer of high-grade packaging film.At present,the heat-seal material of polypropylene terpolymer has been produced by Yanshan petrochemical and Shanghai petrochemical,but the heat seal temperature of domestic material is much higher than imported material,which lead to the lack of market competitiveness.Therefore,it is necessary to study the polymerization process and the relationship between structure and properties of polypropylene terpolymer,which can lay a foundation for enterprises to produce heat-seal material with excellent performances and meet China's market of polypropylene terpolymer.In this study,EPB08 F,a kind of polypropylene terpolymer heat-seal material with low initial heat seal temperature,was prepared by PP pilot plant.Through the adjustment of the proportion of ethylene,propylene and butylene,as well as the distribution of three comonomers in the polymer,the initial heat sealing temperature of production is low.The molecular weight and its distribution,composition distribution and melting temperature of EPB08 F,ethylene-propylene random copolymer polypropylene,propylene-butene random copolymer polypropylene,FL7632 of TPC and C5608 of Yanshan petrochemical were characterized by gel permeation chromatography(GPC),temperature rising elution fractionation(TREF),polarized optical microscopy(POM)and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).On the basis of these experimental datas,the main factors that influence the performance of EPB08 F are obtained.At the same time,the eheological properties of these special material are studied by melt flow indexer,rotational Rheometer,capillary rheometer and extensional rheometer.The results provide a guidance for the processing and application of polypropylene terpolymer.The friction coefficient,optical properties and mechanical properties of CPP films prepared by different formulations of EPB08 F and C5608 were compared by means of the friction coefficient tester,the fog meter and the electronic tensile machine.In this paper,the relationship between structure and properties of polypropylene terpolymer,as well as the Pilot process are researched.Then a process technology of the development of polypropylene terpolymer heat sealing special material wasdeveloped,that have directive function for the industrial production and production.Finally,the industrialized production of EPB08 F was realized through the production unit.
