Water is the lifeline for the development of social and economy in Ningxia.The Action Plan for Prevention and Treatment of Water Pollution put forward that environmental protection should focus on improving water environmental quality,and advance the management of water resource,treatment of water pollution and protection of water ecology systematically.According to The Spatial development strategy of Ningxia,the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region will promote the construction of Industrial area in Qingshui River town,and this is a significant initiative improving economical development and social harmony.However,with the rapid development of economy and the continual construction of industrial area in recent years,the contradictory between water supply and demand becomes prominent,and some problems about water are also expose intensely.Thus,in this paper,an early warning study has carried out to investigate the water environment of typical pollution sources along the bank of Qingshui River,based on the comprehensive survey and assessment about water environment of Qingshui River Watershed,as well as the existing problems of urban construction along the river and waste water discharges.The study is try to acknowledge the pollution situation of Qingshui River watershed more deeply,optimize and integrated the construction of water environment monitoring network,strengthen the construction of water environment monitoring warnings,improve the risk prevention capacity of water environment,and control water pollution effectively,so that it can provide the decision-making support for managers.The primarily conclusions are as follows:(1)It was found that water quality of Qingshui River was becoming good,and the types of pollutants as well as exceed multiple were reducing continually from 2005-2013 by analyzing pollution status and water environment of Qingshui River watershed.However,the overall water quality was still not as good as expected,especially in Sanying section and Shenjia River reservoir.Sanying section and Shenjia River reservoir were polluted seriously,and the main pollution factors influencing the watershed were CODMn,TP,COD and ammonia nitrogen.(2)The water quality of Qingshui River was molded by applying WASP software,and parameters were determined through adjusting them in model.The important parameters were as follows: the coefficient of COD velocity attenuation(Kd)was 0.15 per day at 20?,and the coefficient of nitration rate(K12)was 0.31 per day at 20?.(3)Based on the water quality model of Qingshui River using WASP,simulation analysis,which about the contribution of every pollution resource along the river to the water quality of Qingshui River,was conducted.The previous pollution sources of Sanying section locating in the upstream of Qingshui River were so many that the situation was quite complex.The simulated results showed that the effect sequences of every pollution source for the water quality of Sanying section were as follows: Dongzhi River,Shenjia River reservoir,thermal power plants.However,the polluted situation from Sanying to Quanyan mountain was simple relatively,and the pollution was mainly from the industries of Tongxin county and urban sewage.(4)Based on analyzing the contribution of pollution sources,the early warning and control conditions of the pollutants existing in Qingshui River were simulated.The results show that it is seriously polluted in Sanying section,whose status alert level is orange in years.Dongzhi River was listed as the focus of pollution controls because of its biggest influence on Sanying section.After simulating and comparing several different control strategies repeatedly,the results show that if the water quality of Dongzhi River is controlled as the class III water quality standard,the water quality of Sanying section can be improved to the class III water quality standard,and the status alert level will be changed from yellow or orange to green.According to simulate the construction of waste water treatment project in Tongxin county in 2004,when the waster water treatment plant effluent quality reaches the class II discharge standard,the water quality of Quanyan Mountain section can meet the class IV water quality standard,and the status alert level will be changed as orange.When the waster water treatment plant effluent quality reaches the class I lever B discharge standard,the concentration of ammonia nitrogen of Quanyan Mountain section can meet the control standards essentially.(5)Based on the results of model simulation,the paper puts forward the optimization scheme of water environment monitoring section of Qingshui River.On the basis of the original monitoring section,9 new sections are added.In the lower reaches of Tongxin County and Donghe River,two sections are added,Monitoring frequency is once a month;Changsha River,Jinjiazi ditch,Xihe River,broken dead ditch,Shuangjingzi ditch,amaranth River and River into the estuary,respectively,additional monitoring section,monitoring frequency for 3months once.These sections can help the Qingshui River environmental monitoring provide more comprehensive and effective monitoring data.
