Brazed monolayer diamond grinding discs are superior in high efficiency and heavy duty processing of hard brittle and difficult-to-cut materials to conventional diamond grinding discs.As the demand of brazed monolayer diamond grinding discs increases rapidly with related enterprises developing and industrial scale expanding,its productive efficiency still keeps at a low level.In this paper mesh belt tunnel furnace in hydrogen nitrogen protective atmosphere was used to improve production efficiency of brazed diamond grinding discs and boost automatic and industrialized level of productive process.Based on the actual brazed quality of grinding discs,brazing temperature and mesh belt speed were mainly researched on the influence of grinding performance.The optimal brazing parameters in continuous production were studied by the experimental analysis and numerical simulation.The main creative contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Mesh belt tunnel furnace in hydrogen-nitrogen protective atmosphere was selected as the brazing equipment.The material of the substrate was selected.Initially set mesh belt speed: 120mm/min.Setting brazing temperature from 1040? to 1110? with 10? as the temperature gradient,workpieces in groups were brazed in turn,brazed diamond grinding discs in different temperature were analyzed by using grinding test and observing wear morphology.The results showed that optimally setting temperature is 1070? at mesh belt speed 120mm/min.(2)Based on brazing temperature and time got from the experiment and the analysis of the heat transfer of brazing process in tunnel furnace on the actual productive conditions,three-dimensional heat transfer mode of grinding disc was established.The temperature field with grinding disc in brazing process was simulated by ANSYS.The result showed that the model was accuracy by comparing thermal cycle curves between numerical simulation and experiment in two groups.(3)To improve productive efficiency,I increased mesh belt speed to 150mm/min.Brazing temperature was simulated by the software ANSYS before the optimized experiment,then the proper simulation results were demonstrated by experiments.The experiments showed that setting brazing temperature 1085? can get good grinding performance and indicated that the research technique of numerical simulation was feasible.
