With the development of our nation's natural gas resources, the share of sour natural gas increases year by year.Sour natural gas must be purified to achieve quality standards before it can be supplied to the users. The raw material of Puguang natural gas processing plant is from Puguang high sour natural gas field, which is content with 14.14%?v/v?H2S,8.63%?v/v?CO2 and 340.6mg/Nm3 organic sulfur.Due to the high H2 S content, the solution cycle amount increases and the process becomes complex.A result of this is that the energy consumption increases. This paper minimized the Puguang natural gas processing plant energy consumption by optimizing the process parameters. The main study content of this paper includes the analyst of effect of process parameters on energy consumption based on HYSYS model of the process units, the effect of parameters on exhaust incinerator energy consumption based on minimum free energy model. This paper also optimized the energy consumption of the sour gas absorbing and the dehydration unit based on HYSYS and genetic algorithm and optimized the exhaust incinerator energy consumption based by minimum free energy model. In this paper a new modified gradient projection method is presented to solve the minimum energy model, which is much faster and more stable. And a modified program algorithm is developed to improve the convergence of the program process based on HYSYS and genetic algorithm, and it also enlarges the range of the parameters. And a visual energy consumption software is developed.
