High performance composite material is a kind of new material with high modulus,high strength,high temperature resistance and lightweight,followed by recycling and easy designability,and has been applied to many fileds,especially in aviation,aerospace,automobile,construction,machinery manufacturing and electronic appliances,etc.High performance composite matrix usually has two categories: thermoplastic and thermosetting resin.The thermoplastic composite has gotten more and more attention as the thermoplastic composites are superior to thermosetting plastic composites in many aspects,such as toughness,recyclable and structural design.The main form of reinforcement material are short fiber,long fiber and continuous fiber.The short fiber reinforced resin composites are limited in mechanical properties,and the continuous fiber reinforced resin composites are too expensive.In this context,we use long fiber to reinforce thermoplastic plastic composites.In this paper,PPBESK resin was choosen as the matrix and long carbon fiber(T700SC-12 K,25mm)as the reinforcing material.The poly(arylene)resin,which is independently developed by our group,is a high performance thermoplastic resin matrix with high temperature resistance,high mechanical strength,especially,common solvent(chloroform)and other unique properties.So the long carbon fiber was impregnated with solution,and the effects of rolling mill method,sedimentation method,ultrasonic vibration method and ultrasonic secondary infiltration method were discussed.The results show that the mechanical properties of the composites prepared by ultrasonic vibration method are the best,and the optimum carbon fiber content is 45%.The different factors in the molding process are discussed in detail.The analysis of SEM indicates that the ultrasonic infiltration is better.From the analysis of DMA,thermal conductivity and heat capacity,the results show that LCF / PPBESK composites has high temperature resistance.The mechanical properties of LCF / PPBESK composites were studied by ultrasonic infiltration process.The mechanical properties of the samples were tested under different conditions of dry and wet with different temperature.The results show that the material has the best mechanical properties under dry comdition at 150 ? with 244 MPa of the tensile strength,279 MPa of the flexual strength and 169 MPa of the compressive strength,respectively.Furthermore,their have 168 MPa of the tensile strength,227 MPa of the flexual strength and 98 MPa of the compressive strength under wet condition,respectively.The wet mechanical properties retention rate is more than 50% compared to dry mechanical properties.The effects of different thickness-diameter ratios on the connection strength and different enddiameter ratios on the connection strength were investigated,respectively.The results show that the strength of the single nail is significantly higher than that of the double nail.The adhesive connection of a single nail is twice than that of a double nail and is 1.5 times more than the strength of a single bolt.Large end-diameter ratios is in favor of the connection strength.
