Carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin composites have high specific strength,excellent heat resistance,corrosion resistance and impact toughness,and are easy to recycle,high utilization rate.They are ideal lightweight materials.But one of the drawbacks of thermoplastic resin is the poor interfacial bonding between resin and reinforcing fiber.For the improvement of the interface,the surface modification of resin or reinforced material,or the reasonable setting of technological parameters,can make the resin easier to impregnate reinforced fibers,so that the composite material has excellent mechanical properties.In this paper,polyester-based carbon fiber composites are prepared by winding and laminating.By comparing the mechanical properties and structural properties,the thermoplastic carbon fiber composites with excellent properties are obtained,and the preparation process is optimized to obtain the best preparation process.Then,the thermoplastic composite coated with aramid/carbon fiber hybrid structure was prepared by the best preparation method.The mechanical properties of the hybrid thermoplastic material were analyzed,and the composite material with excellent tensile and impact properties was obtained.Experiments show that the advantage of wrapping method over laminating method in this study is that resin can penetrate into carbon fiber bundles more fully during high temperature hot pressing in hot press,so the impact and tensile properties of the composites prepared by wrapping method and laminating method are better than those prepared by laminating method.Using thermoplastic polyester as resin and carbon fibers as reinforcing fibers,two different moulding methods were used to prepare test samples.The test results showed that the tensile properties and impact strength were improved by 4%-6%and 6.5%respectively by winding-coating method.Combining with the relevant permeability principle and the observation of electron microscopy images,it was found that the resin by laminating method did not penetrate sufficiently,so it was worse after cooling and curing.The interfacial properties between resin matrix and carbon fiber reinforced composites prepared by winding coating method are good.In this paper,aramid/carbon fiber hybrid coating reinforced polyester composites were prepared by further winding and coating method,and the mechanical properties were tested.The experimental results show that aramid filament coating can improve the tensile strength of carbon fiber reinforced polyester composites.The increase range of aramid coating on one layer is 19.7%,and that of aramid coating on two layers is 49.5%,which accords with the composite materials.Composition law;aramid filament coating can prevent the transverse shear of carbon fibers and other damage,thus improving the impact properties of carbon fibers composite materials,one layer aramid coating can increase by 65.8%,two layers aramid coating can increase by 45.6%.The impregnation melting process between thermoplastic resin and carbon fibers can be shortened by coating method,so the wettability between carbon fibers and polyester resin is better.However,the interfacial bonding performance between the selected aramid filament and polyester is poor,which results in the impact performance of the material declining with the increase of aramid coating amount.
