In this paper,we try to combine the photoelectric characteristics of isosorbide and the advantages of high temperature resistance of polyaryletherketone,in order to obtain organic optical transparent materials with better overall properties.Different aromatic bisphenol,namely biphenol and bisphenol fluorine were choosen as monomers,repectively reacted with isosorbide and 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone(DFK),by high temperature solution to prepare copolymer PBIEK and PFIEK.The structure,molecular weight,solubility,thermal properties,optical properties,mechanical properties,crystallinity and hygroscopic properties of the two kinds of polymers were studied.The results show that both PBIEK and PFIEK are amorphous polymers and have good solubility in a variety of common solvents such as DMSO,NMP,chloroform,etc.The transmittance of polymers range from 400 nm to 800 nm exceeded 80%.Among them,PFIEK6040's light transmission performance is best,which is more than 91%.The glass transition temperature of PBIEK1090 is 182 ? and the 5% weight loss temperature is 445 ?.Compared with the binary copolymer PIEK,the introduction of biphenyl structure obviously improves the thermal stability of the polymer.The tensile strength of PBIEK1090 membrane is 54.8MPa,elongation at break is 7.4% and elastic modulus is 1.6 GPa.Compared with PIEK,the tensile strength and elastic modulus of PBIEK1090 are increased,and the elongation at break is decreased slightly.The glass transition temperature of the series of polymer PFIEK ranges from180 ? to 251 ?,and the 5% weight loss temperature in the range of 420 ?~450 ? in nitrogen atmosphere.The introduction of fluorenyl structure can effectively improve the glass transition temperature,enhance the thermal stability of the polymer.When the fluorene structure is more than 40%,its thermal properties can meet the expected requirements.The fluorene structure improved the tensile strength of PFIEK from 40.9 MPa to 72.1 MPa and the elongation from 8.4 % to 12.2 %.The methyl-terminated PFIEK4060 and PFIEK6040 were synthesized,namely MPFIEK4060 and M-PFIEK6040.The effect of methylation on the polymer properties were investigated.The average refractive index of M-PFIEKs and PFIEKs is between 1.655 and 1.670,and the birefringence is between 0.008 and 0.013,and the dielectric constant estimated from the refractive index in the range of 3.012 ~ 3.065,which can meet the optical performance requirements of the internal lens.The rheological properties shows that M-PFIEK4060 and PFIEK6040 can maintain good flowability in the range of 380 ? ~ 400 ?.
