Oil pipeline plays a significant role in oil exploration and mining operations.As a basic connecting component of pipelines in oil drilling process,the quality of the pipe thread processing parameters is the main factor that greatly influences the operation safety of oil production.Thus,it is necessary to take strict quality inspection for it.In order to overcome shortcomings such as time-consuming,labor-intensive,and low accuracy in traditional inspection methods,this thesis proposes a new method that can achieve both high efficiency and high accuracy.After reviewing and analyzing the current inspection technologies and the corresponding development trend,this thesis proposes an overall inspection scheme for measuring pipe thread contour based on the principle of laser triangulation.The basic idea of obtaining the coordinate information of tread profile through the combination of laser displacement sensor,encoder and high-precision lead screw is described.In order to collect the data of laser sensor(longitudinal coordinate of thread profile)and encoder(transverse coordinate of thread profile),the hardware circuitry with the core of ADuC845 is designed.Motion control and LCD display can also been achieved by this hardware.The LabVIEW-based software for measurement control and data processing is compiled and debugged.Based on the testing results of measuring an oil pipe thread sample by the designed inspection system,the validity of the proposed system design is verified.Theoretical analysis of testing errors involved is provided and the error compensation issue is also investigated.The analysis for the automatic inspection of tooth height,screw pitch and taper is realized through this system.The results demonstrate that the system designed based on the proposed method is more efficient in measuring parameters of the pipeline thread,which will advance the development of the oil pipeline inspection technology.
