With the continuous development of science and technology and industrial production,the creation and use of various mechanical equipment and electronic and electrical products has brought convenience and progress to people's life,but at the same time accompanied by noise and electromagnetic radiation.Noise,electromagnetic pollution not only reduce the quality of people's life,and even endanger human health,restricting the national economic construction and the development of national defense industry seriously.Therefore,the suppression of vibration and noise in the structure,the development of electromagnetic wave shielding technology is of great significance.Recently,scientists have proposed the new concept of "metamaterials",which is a composite structure or composite material composed of artificial microstructure units.It can meet the above requirements by showing the extraordinary physical properties which the natural materials do not possess.In order to further understand the influences of metamaterials on noise,vibration and electromagnetic radiation,the propagation effects of acoustic waves,vibrating waves and electromagnetic waves in the metamaterial structure are studied.In this paper,based on the definition of the concept of metamaterials,an acoustic metamaterial closed box structure is designed,and the acoustic and vibrating waves are treated as the same type of wave(mechanical wave).The propagation of acoustic waves and vibrating waves in the structure of acoustic metamaterials was numerically simulated by finite element software ABAQUS,and compared with the structure of the non-acoustic metamaterials.On the basis of this,the whole sound insulation performance of the acoustic metamaterial closed box was compared and analyzed.Then on the basis of the structure of the acoustic metamaterial closed box,the sheet structure of the electromagnetic metamaterials was designed.The propagation of electromagnetic waves in the structure of acoustic metamaterials was numerically simulated by finite element software ANSYS,and compared with the structure of the non-electromagnetic metamaterials.On the basis of this,the electromagnetic response of the electromagnetic metamaterial structure to the electromagnetic wave was analyzed.Through the above method of numerical calculation,the propagation of acoustic waves,vibrating waves and electromagnetic waves in the structure of metamaterials is realized.The results of the structure of the with/without metamaterial are compared and analyzed.The following conclusions are drawn:The structure of metamaterials can suppress the propagation of acoustic waves,vibrating waves and electromagnetic waves;The structure of acoustic metamaterial closed box can effectively shield the center sound source to achieve excellent sound insulation performance;The sheet structure of electromagnetic metamaterials can effectively shield electromagnetic waves and suppress its propagation in free space.
