PBO fiber reinforced epoxy resin composites interface condition has great influence on the final properties of the composite,but wettability and interfacial bonding between PBO fiber and epoxy resin is poor,so it is necessary to modify the composites to improve the wettability and interfacial bonding properties between epoxy resins and PBO fibers to improve the comprehensive properties of composites.In this paper,the properties of composites were improved by modifying the filler of epoxy resin.Based on E-51 epoxy resin,3,3'-diethyl-4,4'-diaminodiphenyl methane?H-256?and low molecular weight polyamide 651?PA651?as curing agent,use1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether?BDDGE?and polyethylene diglycidyl ether?PEGDGE?and phenyl glycidyl ether?PGE?three different reactive diluent to reduce the viscosity of the curing system to increase the wettability of epoxy resin on PBO fiber,thereby enhancing the bonding properties of the interface between them.It has discussed the influence of reactive diluent on the viscosity and wettability of epoxy resin,and the interfacial bonding properties of the composites were analyzed by ILSS and IFSS tests.The results show that the reactive diluent added can greatly reduce the viscosity of epoxy resin and enhance the wettability of PBO fiber;the rational use of reactive diluent can greatly enhance the impact toughness of composite materials in the case where the interfacial bonding strength of the composite decreases little.Two different silane coupling agents,3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane?KH-550?and?-?2,3-epoxypropoxy?propytrimethoxysilane?KH-560?were added in epoxy resin system to improve the wettability and interface bonding performance between PBO fiber and epoxy resin.Standing in the preparation process makes that the silane coupling agent migrates to the two-phase interface to enhance the effect;the results showed that silane coupling agents have different effects on different epoxy resin system,and enhance the interface only in a better liquidity and long operating system.The properties of PBO fiber / epoxy resin composites were improved by adding nano-TiO2 particles into the epoxy resin matrix.Influence of nano-TiO2 particles on the interfacial properties and anti impact performance of the composites was investigated,through the testing and analysis of ILSS,IFSS on composite materials,the results showed that the addition of nano-TiO2 particles enhance the performance of the composites,but the interface reinforcing effect of the composite is very small,the improvement of the properties of the composites is mainly due to the enhanced toughening effects of TiO2 particles on the epoxy resin matrix.
