Honing is a processing method for cutting the workpiece with low cutting speed and pressure on plane-plane contact between tool and workpiece.To a certain extent,honing,which integrated the main characteristics of grinding and lapping,could obtain the processing efficiency of grinding,also could achieve the surface quality of lapping.However,at present the ordinary honing technology had problems such as low processing efficiency and not easy to ensure accuracy and surface quality in the machining of hole of aviation difficult-to-machining materials(such as nickel base superalloy,stainless steel).Considering this,research on high speed honing technology of nickel-based superalloy GH4169 with super hard abrasive tool was developed in this paper,to solve the above problems of precision machining of aviation difficult-to-machining materials hole in order to achieve its high efficiency precision machining.In this paper,the main factors affecting the material removal rate and surface quality were analyzed through the development of high speed honing numerical simulation and experiment of GH4169 with cubic boron nitride(CBN)tool.The main research work were as follows:(1)A numerical analysis method for surface roughness prediction was established.The effects of honing process parameters on surface roughness and surface topography were studied.Parameter optimization for the significant factors had been developed using response surface methodology.The interaction of parameters was analyzed.Finally,the simulation was experimentally validated.(2)System experiment of high speed honing GH4169 superalloy were carried out to study the effects of spindle speed,reciprocating speed,expansion stroke and expansion time on material removal rate.The main influencing factors and influencing rules of material removal rate were obtained.(3)The influence of honing process parameters on surface roughness was analyzed by experiments.The surface quality of high speed honing hole was evaluated by the analysis of surface morphology,microstructure,micro hardness and residual stress.
