The Al Foil/Bubble Composite material is a kind of plastic bubble pad that covered with aluminum plastic film in its two sides.The material has good thermal insulation performance with its high surface reflective characteristic and is especially suitable for buildings and pipelines thermal insulation.In this paper,the thermal insulation performance,flammability and sound insulation performance of the material were tested.And the effects of bubble layer structure,bubble size and reflective layer on its properties were analyzed.The effect of aging treatment on the properties of the material was also studied.The thickness and its energy-saving efficiency when used in buildings and pipelines were calculated respectively.The FLUENT software was also used to simulate the heat transfer process of buildings and pipelines.The results showed that firstly,with the increase of bubble layer,the sound insulation performance was improved while the thermal insulation performance and flame-retardant performance were decreased.Secondly,with the increase of bubble diameter,the thermal insulation performance and its sound insulation performance on high-frequency section were improved.Thirdly,the location of aluminum foil in the reflective layer had an effect on both thermal insulation performance and flammability.When the aluminum foil was in the outermost layer,the thermal insulation and flame-retardant performance were the best.Under the environment of the relative humidity is 50% and for the aging treatment temperature of 25~60?,the thermal insulation and its peel strength were improved.When the material is used in buildings and the zone has hot summer and cold winter,its economic thickness is 55 mm and the energy-efficiency is 67.82%.When the material is used in pipelines as outer thermal insulation layer,its thickness is 7~9mm and consumption reduction of pipelines is up to 30%.FLUENT simulation results showed that it'd better used as external wall thermal insulation material and the recommended thickness is 55 mm,same as the theoretical calculation result.And the material can reduce the pipelines' heat loss in the radial direction and the temperature drop in the axial direction effectively.
