In this paper,karst collapse column in baiyangling coal mine as the research object,the distribution characteristics and morphological features,outcrop characteristics were analyzed,and on this basis,combined with mine structure,hydrological characteristics and Tectonic evolution characteristics,to study the development regularity and causes of the karst collapse column with fractal theory,floor curvature and other methods.The research shows that the integral construction of baiyangling coal mine is mainly affected by the extrusion of SE in Indosinian and the extrusion of NW~SE in Yanshanian and extrusion of NE~SW in Himalayan Period,forming a series of EW and NNE and NNW-oriented folds and faults.The collapse column in the study area is characterized by dense cluster and zonal distribution,which can be divided into two zones: NE and NW.By analyzing the structure of the study area,it is found that it has a certain control effect on the development of the collapse column,the karst collapse column is easily developed in the area where faults are developed,part of the collapse column and fault are directly related,and there is a mutual promotion relationship between collapse column and fault.Taking tectonic curvature instead of fold,it is found that the tectonic curvature is positive,that is to say,the area where the stratigraphic is upward is prone to develop the collapse column.Based on fractal theory and mine structure,the area with fractal dimension less than or equal to 0.6 is divided into the unfavorable area of karst collapse column development,fractal dimensions between 0.60 and 0.90 are divided into more favorable areas,fractal dimensions greater than 0.9 are divided into favorable areas.Based on the study of karst collapse column and the tectonic evolution,it is believed that the ancient karst and the gypsum dissolution are the origin of karst collapse column,geological structure is the main driving force of karst collapse column development,groundwater movement is the basic condition for karst collapse column development,the combination characteristics of strata lithology play a certain role in controlling the development of karst collapse column,the effect of earthquake on the development of subsidence column has a certain influence,especially in the overlying strata collapse of the power.The formation period of karst collapse column in the study area should be Mesozoic.
