Mobile phones have become indispensable in life.Besides convenience such as high-speed Information,phone has brought the electromagnetic radiation.Therefore,it has important practical significance to develop the electromagnetic shielding fabrics.According to the company's needs,cell phone electromagnetic radiation was systematically studied in this paper.Then electromagnetism shielding fabrics with silk and silver-plated fibers were developed and tested.It's application was discussed as well.Mobile phone electromagnetic radiation exceedances in daily use were studied by testing electromagnetic radiation of the six places and the characteristics of phone electromagnetic radiation when used in eight functional states/in different signal strengths/at different distances.Analytically,mobile phones could influence environmental electromagnetic radiation and it exceeded the standard range of 257% especially in the elevator;Phone electromagnetic radiation exceeded safety values on different levels during browsing the web/playing video/calling/hanging up.The structure and properties of silver-plated fiber were studied.Silk and silver-plated fibers were used to develop fabrics whose electromagnetism shielding properties were tested either.The results shows that when the content of silver-plated fibers in the fabric was less than 43%,the electromagnetic shielding performance was poor;While the content was between 43% and 100%,it would improve and the maximum value was 64.5%.Considering the cost,the silver-plated fibers should be weaved both in the warp and weft,and its' content be between 43% and 60%,which the shielding percentage would be between 53.2% and 60.4%.For mobile phone which was the electromagnetic radiation source,fabrics provided by the cooperative enterprise and silk/silver-plated fiber electromagnetism shielding fabrics were tested.And according to the protective performance from phone electromagnetic radiation,anti-radiation products were developed.The results as follows: It would not damage phone communication performance when silk/silver-plated fiber fabrics whose shielding rate was between 53.2% and 64.5% were made cell phone cases of duplex coverage.Thus phone electromagnetic radiation when calling was nearly safety value,and the excessive range declined from 326% to 63%~22%.Within three kinds of fabrics provided by the cooperative enterprise,fabrics blended by combed cotton,polyester,stainless steel fibers whose shielding rate was between 64.0% and 69.4% were made cell phone cases and phone communication performance was good.Besides,the shielding rate of duplex coverage was higher than single-sided coverage obviously.In order to effectively prevent the harm of phone radiation to the brain,fabrics whose shielding rate was above 83.2% could be made electromagnetic shielding hats.
