Silk flocs is a kind of natural protein fiber, which has a reputation for "the second type of human's skin",and often is used as a kind of upscale textile raw materials. There is a new kind of silk fiber that is produced by silk as the raw material and by non-woven processing technological equipments. With the increase in attention to functional materials and ecological textile, through appropriate finishing technology, some special functions can be added to silk flocs to satisfy people's demands for functional products. From the perspective of the purpose and function demands for silk flocs, this article researches flame retardant finishing and antibacterial finishing technologies of silk flocs. What's more,it studies the dyeing performance of natural pigments to silk flocs, and evaluates this performance, which provides basis for producing environmentally friendly and functional silk flocs.Do flame retardant finishing to silk flocs by retardant finishing agent TEX-2,where the results show that increase in the amount of flame retardant agent will lead to improvement of the effect of flame retardant.Under the circumstances that the amount of flame retardant agent is 90 g/L,soaking time is 15 min, bakery temperature is 140~150 ? and bakery time is 60 s,the maximum ratio of oxygen of flame retardant silk flocs can reach to 37.2%,and the damage length is 11.7 cm,which correspond B1 level flame retardant performance demands of flame retardant ornamental textile. Therefore, flame retardant finishing influences the whiteness and mightiness of silk flocs.Do antibacterial finishing to silk flocs by chitosan antibacterial agent ABS,the antibacterial agent Silvadur 930 and antibacterial agent KA,respectively, and the results show that: these three kinds of finishing agents are all of good antibacterial performances.Under the circumstance that the amount of ABS is 30 g/L,the antibacterial ratio of escherichia coli can reach97% and ratio of staphylococcus aureus can reach 92%.While under the circumstance that the amount of Silvadur 930 is 10 g/L,the antibacterial ratio of escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus can reach 99%.Under the circumstance that the amount of KA is 2 g/L,the antibacterial ratio of escherichia coli can reach 99%,and under the circumstance that the amount of KA is 5 g/L,the antibacterial ratio of staphylococcus aureus can reach 99% as well.Choose three kinds of natural pigments including shellacpigments, tea polyphenols and pomegranaterindpigments to dye silk flocs, and then evaluate the performance of this function, and the results show that: under the best circumstance, the washing color fastness of silk flocs dyed by shellacpigments can reach higher than level 4,light fastness reaches level 4 and crocking fastness reaches higher than level 3,and the anti-ultraviolet-light performance of the dyed silk flocs has improved, while the antibacterial effect has weakened. The washing color fastness of silk flocs dyed by tea polyphenols can reach level 4-5,light fastness reaches level 4 and crocking fastness reaches higher than level 4,and the anti-ultraviolet-light performance of the dyed silk flocs has improved, while the antibacterial ratio of escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus can reach 78% and 83%,respectively.The washing color fastness of silk flocs dyed by pomegranate rindpigments can reach higher than level 4,light fastness reaches level 4 and crocking fastness reaches higher than level 3,and the anti-ultraviolet-light performance of the dyed silk flocs has improved, while the antibacterial ratio of escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus can reach 70% and 75% respectively, which indicates that the silk flocs dyed by these pigments are of good antibacterial performances.
