The filler serve as an important component of polymer damping materials,can not only reduce the cost effectively,but also improve the properties of materials and expand the scope of application of materials.While the parameters of the filler are the main factors that affect the modification of fillers.Therefore,in this thesis,the glass fiber,glass powder,mica,graphite etc were select as the filler to study the filler content,shape,size and synergistic effect on the damping properties of the composites.The main conclusions are as follows:In this paper,damping materials were prepared by four kinds of shapes vitreous filler respectively,then fixed filler content,research the effect of filler shape on the damping of the materials.The results show that: different filler shapes can improve the composite loss factor of materials in varying degree.When the content of filler is below 20%,glass fiber can improvement the damping property of the materials notably compared with other shapes of fillers.When filler content is higher than 50%,glass powder and glass flake has better performance.Taking the powdery filler and the flake filler as an example,study the effect of filler content on the damping of the materials.The results show that: with the increasing of the amount of fleut(glass powder,aluminum hydroxide,calcium carbonate),the composite loss factor of materials increased slowly after the first rapid increased;while the increasing of the amount of flake mica,the composite loss factor of materials showed a decrease trend after the first increase.Fixed filler content,research the influence of filler size on the damping properties of the materials.The results show that: with the increasing of mica size,composite loss factor of materials showed a trend of increasing,however,the size of the glass powder increases,the composite loss factor of the material increases first and then decreases.Compound by several fillers,study the effect of compound fillers on damping property of the damping materials.The results show that: compared with single filler system,combination filling had a significant effect on enhancing the damping capacity of the material;with the increase of graphite size in combination filling,the composite loss factor of materials showed a trend of gradually increasing.
