Reclamation is a kind of effective means for human to seek for living space on the sea,and solve the contradictions between increased population density and living space shortage.However,how to reduce the influence of reclamation,restore the degradation of inshore marine,continental and intertidal ecosystem,and build an ‘island – human – nature' harmony system is a urgent and significant.Based on a comprehensive analysis of research at home and abroad,we use the models of Ecopath model and ocean health index to predict the maturity and health of the inshore ecosystem of Haikou nanhai pearl artificial island.The evaluated results showed that the maturity and health of artificial island ecosystem is lower than that of reference ecosystem.The parameters of the nearshore ecosystem of Haikou nan guo pearl ecological island is predicted by that of Haikou nanhai pearl artificial island.According to evaluated results,the maturity and health of ecological island ecosystem is obviously lower than that of artificial island ecosystem.The ecological island ecosystem after reclamation is degraded.Five kinds of restoration techniques,i.e.food web proliferation technique(FW),the coupling technique of artificial reefs and artificial seagrass(ARS),hard slope roughing(HSR),waterfront habitat restoration technique(WHR)and mixture planting restoration(MP),are proposed to restore the degradation of ecological island ecosystem.The first three techniques are applied to enhance the inshore ecosystem,the latter two methods are applied to restore the continental and intertidal ecosystem.The effects of ecological rehabilitation of the proposed techniques are predicted by the models of Ecopath model and ocean health index.The Ecopath model result showed that the ecosystem of FW,ARS and HSR is more mature and complex than that of ecological island.The ocean health index result showed that the ecosystem of FW(82.5),ARS(84.3)and HSR(82.5)are healthier than that of ecological island(48.9).The general status of ecogical island is further studied by analytic hierarchy process.The comprehensive score of ecological island ecosystem is 0.613.The result indicated that ecogical island ecosystem after restoration is health and stable.In a word,Reclamation brings a great influence on marine ecosystem.FW,ARS,HSR,WHR and MP contribute to restora the degraded ecosystem.Therefore,they are useful for other ecosystem restoration after reclamation.
