Although China's coking coal resources are abundant,there still exists a shortage of good-quality coking coal resources such as fat coal,caking coal and gas coal.Therefore,in order to utilize our current coal resources for coal blending coking in a better way,it is necessary to make feasible and appropriate adjustment and optimization to coal blending patterns consistently,hence to find best coal blending formulas.On the purpose of heightening the scientific rationality and feasibility of coal blending,it requires to analyze and evaluate coking coals to be consumed from each aspect,and then to have knowledge of their process indices including bonding ability and caking property.Only in this way can current coking coal resources be harnessed to the biggest extent to practice coal blending coking rationally.Now,the dispensable job to be done is elevating and improving coke quality as well as reducing the production cost by correctly coordinating propositions of coking coals to be used in the coking process to decrease the ratios of costly fat coal and caking coal.A coking company owns the 5.5m ZHJL5552 D model tamping coke oven with 2*65opening pattern.In order to achieve better coal blending coking,it needs to search for favorable coal blending propositions by adding some inferior coking coals to reduce the cost.After testing on the small coke oven and screening and analyzing experimental data,each single difference related with the caking property between caking coal,high sulfur caking coal,and fat coal as well as variations in coke qualities when decreasing propositions of caking coal and fat coal are investigated and evaluated respectively.The results show,there is a significant difference in caking property between caking coal,high sulfur caking coal,and fat coal;coke qualities are distinctive with different blending coal amounts;coke qualities exhibit minor changes if fat coal and caking coal are substituted by gas coal,hence it is possible to replace caking coal and fat coal partially with gas coal so as to lower coal blending cost and get higher quality cokes.Eight groups of preferable coal blending schemes designed for production guidance are finalized through firstly making detailed analysis to 31 kinds of commercial coals under consumption,then conducting thorough discussion on related coal blending formulas and finally testing coke products from 20 blending schemes.
