In recent years,the super hydrophobic fabric has a broad application prospect in the fields of medical protection,sportswear,industrial waterproof cloth and so on.Super hydrophobic fabrics are usually prepared by the combination of surface microcosmic rough structures and low surface energy substances.At present,the rough structure on the surface of fabric was fabricated by sol-gel method.Organic fluorine can be used to deal with fabric to achieve low surface energy in the fabric.Organic fluorine finishing agent has excellent hydrophobic effect,but the price is expensive,extremely difficult to degrade,there is a potential threat to human and environment.In this regard,two kinds of fluorine-free super hydrophobic finishing agent was prepared.One was organic silicone modified silica sol super hydrophobic finishing agent,another was polyacrylate modified silica sol super hydrophobic finishing agent,and they were used to make super hydrophobic polyester fabric.The specific contents and results are as follows.The intermediates silane coupling agent(PTKH)firstiy was prepared by esterification reaction using pentaerythritol triacrylate(PETA)and 2,3-Epoxy propoxy propyltrimethoxysilicane(KH-560)as raw materials and triethylamine as cataltst.Then the organic silicon OSP was prepared by hydrosilylation of PTKH,hydrogen-terminated silicone oil(w-PHMS)and n-Lauryl acrylate(LA)as raw materials and 2%of chloroplatinic acid isopropyl alcohol solution as cataltst.Under the action of emulsifier,the organic silicon modified silica sol OSMS was prepared using methyltrimethoxysilane(MTMS)and organic silicon OSP as raw materials and ammonia as cataltst.The optimal synthetic condition were as follows:OSMS was obtained when n(PETA):n(KH560)=1.2:1,the amount of triethylamine was 0.4%to the whole quality of PETA and KH560,n(PTKH):n(w-PHMS):n(LA)=1:3.2:3.4,the amount of chloroplatinic acid isopropyl alcohol solution was 200ppm to the whole quality of PTKH,w-PHMS and LA,m(MTMS):m(OSP)=1:3,ammonia was 3%to the whole quality of finishing liquid,emulsifier compound by AEO-9,AEO-4 and 1631with the mass ratio of 2:1:2of 10%(the whole quality of MTMS and OSP).OSMS was applied to super hydrophobic finish of polyester fabrics.when the dosage of finishing agent was 200g/L,bath ratio was 1:30,and curing temperature and time were160?and 3min,respectively.The water contact angle of the treated fabric was 157.3~o,and the hydrophobic rating was 100.After 15 laundry cycles,water contact angle of the fabric was 120.6~o,and the hydrophobic rating was 80,it was indicated that hydrophobicity of OSMS treated fabric was washable.The breaking strength,flexibility,permeability and whiteness of the treated fabrics showed little change compared with untreated ones.Silicon sol was made by sol-gel method using methyl trimethoxysilane(MTMS).It was then modified by synthetic polymers made by lauryl acrylate(LA),acrylonitrile(AN)and 3-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane(KH570).Finally polyacrylate modified silicon sol PLAKS was successfully obtained.The results showed that PLAKS was obtained when m(LA):m(AN):m(KH570)=20:10:0.6.APS was 1.0%,emulsifier compound by AEO-9,AEO-4 and 1631with the mass ratio of 2:1:2 of 10%.The amount of MTMS was 20%,ammonia was 12%(all to the whole quality of LA,AN and KH570).PLAKS was applied to super hydrophobic finish of polyester fabrics,when the dosage of finishing agent was 200g/L,bath ratio was 1:30,and curing temperature and time were160?and 3min,respectively.The water contact angle of the treated fabric was 151.3~o,and the hydrophobic rating was 100.After 15 laundry cycles,water contact angle of the fabric was 131.4~o,and the hydrophobic rating was 90,it was indicated that hydrophobicity of PLAKS treated fabric was washable.The breaking strength,flexibility,permeability and whiteness of the treated fabrics showed little change compared with untreated ones.
