Since 1980,the environment problem, especially the climate change problems caused by greenhouse gas emissions has been putted on the issues. In the greenhouse gas,a large amount of carbon dioxide emissions caused by the greenhouse effect is the most important factor.According to statistics, there are almost 60% of the greenhouse effect is caused by carbon dioxide emissions.China has made a promise that in 2020,the carbon dioxide emissions from per unit of GDP will deduct 40-45% compared to 2005 in the global climate conference in Copenhagen,Denmark in 2009.The energy-saving emission reduction task is arduous and urgent, but it is the inevitable choice for the China to achieve economic restructuring, growth mode changing and try to build a resource-saving and environment-friendly society. As China's economic development engine,Yangtze River Delta region's energy saving process is attracting wide attention from all parties. Therefore,it is urgent for the local government to analyze the current state of its environment across the region deeply and formulate relevant policies for their results to inhibit the progression of carbon emissions and the bad development of the environment effectively.Firstly,I specifically analyze the current situation of economics, environment and carbon dioxide emissions in the Yangtze River Delta between 1997 and 2015.Then we have carried out a detailed analysis and found the phase characteristics of facts of the late excessive resource consumption growth in its urbanization, the slowing GDP growth and lack of economic development possibility. Then,I have used standardized analysis and empirical analysis method and the relevant data of 1997--2015 years from China Energy Statistical Yearbook, etc.,using the improved model LMDI to make element decomposition of the carbon emissions for each sector(agriculture, industry, services)and the total amount of carbon emissions respectively in Yangtze River Delta region. We have focused on of impact and trends which based on the factors of economic output, energy structure, industrial structure, energy intensity and carbon emission factors for carbon emissions in Yangtze River Delta region. The study found that the degree of economic output effect on energy consumption carbon emission is the maximum element. The following is energy intensity effect, energy mix effect and the industrial structure. But the industrial structure of the carbon emissions contribution rate slightly greater than the energy structure over the past five years. In addition, the industrial sector accounted for the proportion of total emissions decreased, while the proportion of the service sector has slowly increased. From the point of view of energy consumption ratio to coal-driven mode diversified energy are gradually being replaced by consumption patterns, the proportion of natural gas and other energy consumption is increasing year by year. Finally,we have put forward some suggestions for low carbon development in the Yangtze River Delta region of policy according to above conclusions in order to provide a theoretical basis and policy guidance for the sustainable development of regional economy.
