Diazo compounds are highly useful and versatile substrates that have been widely applied to various reactions,and have attracted wide attention in the academic community in the past few decades.At present,the classical reactions of diazo compounds have been fully developed.This article mainly introduces the new-type reactions involving the participation of diazo compounds,including a radical process sulfonation reaction and the construction of 1,2,4-triazole compounds.This article is divided into two parts:Firstly,Bu4 NI catalyzed sulfonyl hydrazides react with diazo compounds.A radical process sulfonation reaction between sulfonyl hydrazides and diazo compounds was developed,using TBAI as catalyst and i-PrOH as solvent in the air,leading to a variety of ?-carbonyl sulfones in good yields.This methodology was distinguished by simple manipulation,mild condition,easily available starting materials and enjoys a broad substrate scope as well as functionality tolerance.Secondly,Copper catalyzed diazonium salts react with diazo compounds.In this system,a one-pot method was developed to construct 1,2,4-triazole compounds under CuBr/Li2CO3.This novel approach has the advantages of mild condition,wide substrate scope and high atomic economy.However,the yield of the reaction has not been optimized to a satisfactory level.
