Phononic Crystals(PCs)are a kind of periodic structural function material with elastic wave band gap properties,the elastic wave propagating in the structure in specific frequency range will be suppressed,which provides a new way of thinking to solve the problem of vibration and noise in actual engineering.At present the study of PCs is still in the theory stage,the main research object is also confined to the single structure.So combining the single elements of PCs and studying the elastic wave propagation properties in the combination will greatly enrich the existing theory of PCs;moreover applying the combination to the design of engineering structure to research the vibration properties of the whole structure will also powerfully promote the practical engineering application of PCs.On the basis of the wave equations,this paper deeply analyzes the band gap properties and propagation rule of the elastic wave propagating in PC axis-plate combination by theoretical analysis and simulation calculation and other research methods,and introduces the PC axis-plate combination into the design of the gearbox to study the vibration characteristics of PC gearbox.The main research contents are as follows:1.Based on the wave equations,use the Transfer Matrices Method to study the transmission properties of the elastic waves in the Bragg and the local resonance type PC axis-plate combinations,and do theoretical analysis and numerical calculation on these two kinds of structure respectively.2.The simulation analysis is carried out on the PC axis-plate combination by using the finite element analysis software to obtain the transmission curve of elastic wave in the structure,and make comparison with the theoretical analysis results.On this basis,further analyze and summary the effect of various kinds of factors on the band gap properties.3.Design a kind of PC gearbox and establish the three-dimensional model,and the vibration properties of the PC gearbox are explored by the finite element simulation method,and compare the analysis results with the ordinary gearbox to demonstrate that the PC gearbox has the function of the vibration and noise reduction.The results show that similar to the single structure,PC axis-plate combinations also have the elastic wave band gap properties,which can effectively inhibit the elastic wave propagation in specific frequency range.Also find that compared with the ordinary gearboxes,PC gearboxes have good vibration reduction function.These studies greatly enrich the existing theory of PCs,and contribute to promote the development of the PCs theory in the field of engineering application.
