Phononic Crystals(PCs)are a new kind of artificial structural function material,which have developed a new field of study in the past decade.Because of the property of elastic band gaps,it is believed to provide a new idea to control vibration and noise,and to have important implications for engineering practice.Most existing research about PCs is focused on the structure learned from various lattice,which is still in the stage of basic theory.Previous studies suggested that the root cause of elastic band gaps is essentially the periodicity.As a result,the periodicity in other curve coordinate spaces,besides Cartesian coordinate,also give the corresponding structure i.e.Generalized Phononic Crystals(GPCs)the property of band gaps.Compared with PCs,GPCs have higher generality.Hence,the study about elastic wave propagation in GPCs can improve the theory of PCs and widen their application prospect.Based on the concept of GPCs,combining with numerical derivation,Finite Element Method(FEM)and experiment,the purpose of this paper is to investigate the characteristic of cylindrical elastic waves propagating in one-dimensional circular plate of GPCs.The contents are as follows:1.The Transfer Matrices Method is used to analyze the propagation of cylindrical elastic waves in one-dimensional circular plate of GPCs.Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are developed respectively.2.The vibration characteristics of cylindrical elastic waves propagating in circular plate of GPCs is stimulated using FEM software,and with the result of theoretical derivation.On this basis,a detailed investigation of the effect of various factors on band gaps is presented.3.Design and manufacture the GPCs circular plate samples,and vibration performance is tested by using the vibration testing and analysis system,the experimental prove the results of theory and simulation exact.The results show that there are significant band gaps of cylindrical elastic waves caused by the periodicity of GPCs plate,which are similar to those of existing PCs.In addition,the localization factor can be used for the wave analysis of GPCs.These studies have a significant value in improving the development of PCs theory and promoting the application in vibration/noise control engineering.
