Multifunctional nanomaterials have attracted great concerns in recent years with the fast improvement of nanoscience and technology.Researchers design and prepare different kinds of composite nanomaterials in order to expand the applications of single functional nanomaterials.Gold nanoflowers(AuNFs)have been used as photothermal therapy(PTT),photoacoustic imaging(PA)and computed tomography(CT)diagnosis for their unique localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)and the tunable plasmonic resonances in the near-infrared(NIR)region.Gadolinium oxide nanomaterials are excellent candidates for magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)contrast agent due to a strong paramagnetic response property. In this article,I focus on the content as following:(1)synthesize gold nanoflowers of 5,10,20 branches, gadolinium oxide nanoflowers and AuNFs@Gd2O3 core-shell nanomaterials, using sodium eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA-Na,C20:5)salt as reductant and stabilizer, and adjust their morphologies, sizes, absorption wavelengths by adjusting the concentrations of the reactants, the pH value and the mole ratio of substrates;(2)characterize and analyze these nanomaterials by Transmission electron microscope,Scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction,etc.;(3)SERS signals of RhB deal with AuNFs of 5,10,and 20 branches were detected, which indicated that SERS signals will be enhanced greatly with the increase of branch numbers;4)preliminary study the properties of AuNFs@Gd2O3 such as photothermal ability,PA imaging.
