Inclusions behavior plays an important role in steel material,most of researchers may pay attention on the inclusion.Electromagnetic field applications played a pivotal role in the continuous casting production.In this paper,two-channel type induction heating tundish as a model,conducted induction heating tundish water model experiments,and passed numerical calculation,two results were compared.Based on finite element analysis,we discuss the spatial distribution of the magnetic flux density,electromagnetic force and Joule heat distribution,the joule heat power and Lorentz as a source term imported energy conservation equation and momentum equations.The modified inclusion collision and coalescence model was applied to investigate.The spatial of inclusions volume concentration,number density,characteristic radius in tundish.Based on the discussion above,the results can be inlvoved:(1)The numerical result for flow field and temperature field agree well with the experimental data.(2)The ratio of different induction heating power is equal to the ratio of the square of the magnetic flux density Pn/Pm=Bn2/Bm2;the ratio of different heating power is equal to the ratio of the electromagnetic force Pn/Pm = Fn/Fm,thus,the ratio of different heating power is equal to the Joule heat power ratio Pn/Pm ?Qn/Qm.(3)Without channel induction conditions,the outlet temperature is 8K below that at the inlet,while with channel induction heating conditions,the outlet temperature is 20K highter than injection chamber.(4)Without channel induction heating,sometimes fluid flow in the pouring chamber can promote the floating of inclusions,but prone to roll slag,with channel induction heating condition,extend the molten steel flow path in the pouring chamber,and weaken the impact for the wall of tundish,to better promote the inclusion float and removed.(5)Without channel induction heating condition,the inclusions removal rate is 17.73%,with channel induction heating condition,the inclusion removal rate is 34.48%.(6)For the free surface,the slag layer,and the channel wall,the removal rate for inclusions were 51.29%,21.84%and 26.87%respectively.(7)Without convection mechanism physical condition,the inclusions removal rate is 21.73%.With convection mechanism physical condition,the inclusions removal rate is 34.58%.This fact indicates that convection mechanism is the key factor to effect inclusion behavior in the tundish.
