Equipment in the metal pipe rod-shaped parts of the working environment is very complex, changing the state of force, not only by the static and dynamic load, but also by the pull, pressure, bending, torque and other alternating loads. In addition, due to parts corrosion, temperature changes, collisions and wear during the work of the impact of the metal pipe rod-like parts prone to failure and then lead to equipment loss of function. Therefore, the metal pipe rod-shaped parts become a weak link in the equipment, especially in the practical use of the changing working environment prone to failure, and the failure of various forms.Carrying out the analysis on the failure analysis of the metal pipe rod parts in the equipment and putting forward the effective modification schemes are of great significance to improving the safety and reliability of the equipment. In this paper, several typical failure cases of metal pipe rod parts in equipment are analyzed and studied.Combined with the special working environment and load of pipe rod parts in equipment,a failure analysis method suitable for industrial field analysis and evaluation is proposed. The typical failure modes often appearing in the metal pipe rod-shaped parts are analyzed emphatically, that is,the stress corrosion cracking failure, the fatigue fracture failure, the overload failure caused by the unreasonable design and the failure caused by the unreasonable heat treatment process.Using the combination of material analysis technology and finite element simulation technology, the failure mechanism is revealed, feasible prevention and modification schemes are proposed, and the project is approved in engineering practice.
