Water resources monitoring and protection has become a worldwide issue,as"online water quality detection" combined with "water sampling" can timely,precisely and completely reflex the quality of water,so its research and application has important practical significance.This article developed a self-powered water quality detection and sampling embedded system,which can easily installed on ship's rail of all kinds of hull,with the aid of the water flow impact pressure made the micro hydroelectric generator generates electricity,so as to charge for lithium battery and to achieve the system self-powered funcition.The embedded modules based on ARM processor with various sensors can automatically collect conventional five water quality parameters,and can drive micro-peristaltic pump for water quality sampling for laboratory testing.The primary contents and its innovation are listed below:(1)We developed the automatic detection module of the conventional five water quality parameters based on the ARM processor.The processor used the digital interface and the analog input channel(A/D)to carry on the data collecting,processing and transferring for the dissolved oxygen,the electrical conductivity,the temperature,the PH value and the turbidity sensor respectively,thus to achieve the automatic detection of the conventional five water quality parameters.The test results were output by serial interface,can docking wired or wireless transmission to the client.(2)We developed a self-powered module based on pipeline micro hydro-generator.During the travelling of the ship,the water follow will propel the pipeline micro hydro-generator CNZ-F03 and generate electricity for the lithium battery,which acts as the entire system power.In order to improve the efficiency and reliability of the micro hydro-generator charges to the lithium battery.It included the boosted circuit based on TPS40210 and the charge management circuit based on BQ24610.(3)We devised the water quality sampling module based on micro peristaltic pump.The ARM processor outputs controled signal to the A3977 driving circuit to make the stepper motor in the peristatic pump to produce continuous forward or reversal,thus drawing the water sample through the hose into the sample vial or discharged.The processor exported the control signal in S-curve to allow the peristaltic pump stepper moto to run smoothly and achieve a variety of water sampling modes.The self-powered water quality detection and sampling embedded system was developed in this paper,fully integrated two models of the online water quality testing and water quality sampling,fully functionality,and has characteristics as self-powered,small size,low cost,so it has broad application prospects.
