Phthalate esters(PAEs)which share the highest yield in the worldare widely used as plasticizer in daily consumer products.Because of their physical combination with materials,PAEs in various commodities are easy to volatilize to the air environment.PAEs as a kind of environmental estrogen, not only have carcinogenic, teratogenic and mutagenic effects to human bodies, but also theycan interfere the endocrine system,so these organic pollutants are harmful to human health. This study collected air samples from different indoor and outdoor environment in Hangzhou, after sampling and analyzing, the concentration distribution and pollution characteristics of PAEs in the residential environment, office environment and outdoor environment are obtained. The effects of three environmental factors, such as particles, temperature and relative humidity in the environment,on the pollution characteristics of indoor and outdoor PAEs were discussed and discussed. Then we found particles in air and indoor temperature have an important effect on the characteristic of PAEs concentration distribution and the partition coefficient of gaseous and particulate-phase PAEs,but the impact on PAEs concentration distribution in outdoor air is not obvious. There is no significant correlation between the relative humidity in the environment and the concentration of PAEs in indoor and outdoor air.Based on the database of gas phase and particulate phase PAEs concentration in different environments we built, the risk assessment of phthalate exposure to different occupational groups was conducted in this study. As a result, doctors and drivers are two types of occupational groups with higher exposure risk.At the same time, the exposure level of DEHP in each component is the highest. It was found that DEHP in the environment had moderate carcinogenic risk for the four selected occupational groups.
