Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)is a kind of thermoplastic engineering plastics with excellent comprehensive performance.It is widely used in mechanical vibration damping,human hip replacement and tank and other military weapons,because of its excellent noise reduction and damping properties.But at present,there is very little research on the mechanism of UHMWPE damping,which limits the further application and improvement of UHMWPE material.Based on this background,the purpose of this paper is to propose a clear UHMWPE damping mechanism.In this paper,pure UHMWPE plate,glass fiber reinforced ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(GF/UHMWPE)composite board,polytetrafluoroethylene fiber reinforced ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(PTFE fiber /UHMWPE)composite board,glass fiber and polytetrafluoroethylene fiber reinforced ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(GF/PTFE fiber)were prepared by molding and sintering method.Vitamin /UHMWPE)composite plates,graphene filled ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(Graphene/UHMWPE)composite plates,foamed graphene filled ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(foamed Graphene/UHMWPE)composite plate and cross linked UHMWPE plate.Through the 30 MC very high frequency energy full absorption test,40 ~ 3800 Hz frequency band sound absorption coefficient test,40 to 4000 Hz frequency band 1/3 frequency octave center frequency sound insulation test,according to the experimental data through analysis and research to get the conclusion:(1)The noise reduction mechanism of UHMWPE's "entanglement" is put forward for the first time.That is the mechanism of sound absorption and vibration reduction based on the energy consumption at the ends of the twining nodes,the energy dissipation at the ends of the joints,and the heat dissipation and energy dissipation of the molecular chains.According to the full absorption of UHMWPE and 30 MC very high frequency high frequency energy,the sound absorption property of UHMWPE and the structure of UHMWPE molecular structure,the group contribution molecular theory is excluded,and the "entanglement" mechanism of the existing polymer materials,the mechanism of UHMWPE absorption shock energy and the existing UHMWPE molecular chain structure are put forward.The mechanism of noise reduction and vibration reduction.(2)In the experiment of damping and damping,the sensitivity of Cross-linked UHMWPE to very high frequency wave is not very different from that of pure UHMWPE.Cross linked UHMWPE absorbs more energy than pure UHMWPE in 40 ~ 400 Hz.There is little change in 400 ~ 1250 Hz and 1250 ~ 3150 Hz.(3)GF/UHMWPE material is more sensitive to the VHF wave than pure UHMWPE.The energy absorbed by GF/UHMWPE composites decreased from 40 to 1250 Hz,and the sound energy absorbed within 1250 to 3150 Hz changed little.PTFE fiber /UHMWPE composites are more sensitive than pure UHMWPE to very high frequency waves.The ability of PTFE fiber /UHMWPE composite to absorb acoustic energy at 40 to 2040 Hz changed little,and the acoustic energy absorbed within 2040 to 3800 Hz increased.Compared with pure UHMWPE,two kinds of fiber reinforced composites are more sensitive to VHF waves.The mixed fiber /UHMWPE absorbs less energy than pure UHMWPE in 500 ~ 1250 Hz.The sound energy absorbed in 1250 ~ 3800 Hz has little change.(4)Graphene/UHMWPE composites are more sensitive to VHF waves.The sound absorption ability of foamed Graphene /UHMWPE has little change in the whole test frequency range compared with pure UHMWPE.Foamed Graphene /UHMWPE composites are more sensitive than pure UHMWPE materials to very high frequency waves.Compared with pure UHMWPE,the Graphene /UHMWPE composite material does not change much in the frequency range from 40 to 1740 Hz.The absorption of acoustic energy increased in the frequency range from 1740 to 3800 Hz.(5)The sensitivity of the materials to very high frequency waves in the experiment: pure UHMWPE = Crosslinked UHMWPE < GF/UHMWPE < PTFE/UHMWPE = Graphene /UHMWPE = foamed Graphene/UHMWPE < mixed fiber/UHMWPE = ordinary high density polyethylene.
