Adding a proper amount of metal powder in explosives is one of the ways to increase the energy of explosives,which is of great significance for high-energy explosions.Because of the after-burning effect,aluminum powder can effectively increase the total explosive energy of the system,thereby improving the explosive's strength.Therefore,aluminum powder is widely used in military and civilian explosives.Water-gel explosives are widely used in industrial production due to their good water resistance,safe use,non-toxicity,and less gun smoke.Based on this background,focus on aluminum industrial explosives' s strength,the JWL equation of state parameters for aluminum-containing industrial explosives has been calculated by a method combining lead block test and numerical simulation.In this paper,several commonly used source explosives,such as ammonium TNT explosive,ammoniumaluminum explosive and water-gel explosive,were taken as the research objects,and their strength were studied.The simple calculation method was used to calculate the detonation velocity,explosive volume,and detonation pressure of the aluminum-containing explosives.The remaining parameters were estimated by substituting them into the JWL equation of state.Finally,the JWL equation of state for the detonation reaction products of five kinds of explosives,such as the ammonium TNT explosive,the ammonium aluminum explosive,and the water-gel explosive of three formulations were determined.The following were the main points of the numerical simulation research route:First,the selection of detonation mathematical model.By comparing the similarities and differences between Ideal gas,JWL,and Lee-Tarver equations of state and applicable conditions,the JWL equation of state was finally determined to describe the reaction products.;Second,the selection of simulation software:using non-linear finite element fluid dynamics program(ANSYS/AUTODYN)for numerical simulation of the bearizing process of lead block of five aluminum-containing industrial explosives such as ammonium TNT explosive,ammonium aluminum explosive and water-gel explosive.The lead block bearizng volume of aluminum-containing explosives were calculated and compared with the experimental values.At the same time,the parameters were adjusted to reduce the error value to less than 15%,and the JWL equation of state parameters of aluminum-containing industrial explosives were finally determined.This paper provides a reference method for predicting the JWL state equation parameters of aluminum-containing industrial explosives and offers practical applicable value.
