The water quality from the wastewater treatment plant were unstable due to the low carbon and nitrogen ratio of the effluent.For this problem,methanol as external carbon source is added into the activated sludge system to ensure TN removal efficiency.But the methanol amount due to insufficient CODCr effluent in summer and PAM amount for the sludge centrifugal dewatering system in winter result in higher production cost.This research plan to carry out experiment on the amount of adding methanol and the sludge centrifugal dewatering system to reduce the high production cost.For more precise control of methanol dosage and optimization the strengthen measures based on the sewage treatment plant operation data,derivation and correction of methanol dosage of empirical formula was established in this research.The formula is q=[TN-(COD-75)/8.6-10] *Q*k*10-3.The empirical formula was proved to meet the control requirement of the sewage treatment plant total nitrogen after 3 months of production test.The dosage of methanol were determined 44.6% approximately.Meanwhile,the empirical formula can played a guiding role in the actual production of methanol dosing control.Experiments on the suitable type of cationic polyacrylamide(PAM)and the operation parameters adjustment of the dehydrator through the machine test had been carried out in this research.The optimum operating parameters of the dehydrator along with the optimum type.The power consumption and PAM consumption were reduced after the optimal control of the sludge centrifugal dewatering system in the sewage treatment plant.The cost of 1 m3 surplus sludge is 1.210 yuan.Through the optimal control of carbon source supplemental and the sludge centrifugal dewatering system,5.917 hundred thousand yuan expense on chemicals and electricity could be saved in this wastewater treatment plant.
