Squeeze casting is a process that applies a relatively high mechanical pressure to the liquid metal in the casting mold cavity,thus causes the metal to form and solidify.Squeeze casting technology has the advantages of excellent product quality,energy conservation,environmental improvement and cheapness,etc.It has been increasingly concerned by the world and countries have accelerated the development process of the process.With the rapid development of China’s auto,military,aerospace and other industries,the demand for squeeze castings has increased,and the performance requirements for castings have become higher and higher.Therefore,Therefore,it is important to study the effect of squeeze casting process parameters on the microstructure and mechanical properties of castings.This paper uses the Taguchi method and the near-liquides test analysis method to optimize the squeeze casting technology parameters in order to obtain the ZL101 aluminum alloy parts with excellent properties.In this paper,Taguchi method is used to study the optimum process parameters of the squeezed castings.At the same time,the variance of the Taguchi method is used to study the optimal squeeze casting process parameters.Finally,the influence of process parameters on the microstructure,mechanical properties,density,porosity and shrinkage of ZL101aluminum alloy parts was studied by the near-liquidus method.The experimental results show that:The Taguchi method is used to optimize the ZL101aluminum alloy squeeze casting,and the best process parameters are the pressure of 150 MPa,the mold preheating temperature of 100°C,and the pouring temperature of 720°C.The Pareto ANOVA variance was used to calculate the contribution of squeeze casting process parameters to tensile strength,elongation,and hardness.The contribution rates of squeeze casting pressure to tensile strength,hardness and elongation are 59.8%,65.4%and 68.8%,respectively;the contribution rates of the squeeze casting temperature to tensile strength,hardness and elongation are 36.4%and 20.9%,19.1%;The preheating temperature of the squeeze casting mold contributes 3.8%,13.7%,and 12.1%to the tensile strength,hardness,and elongation,respectively.Squeeze casting process parameters contribute to the ZL101aluminum alloy pressure>pouring temperature>mold preheat temperature.The squeeze cast parts prepared in the near liquidus have a nearly spherical structure,dense tissue,and relatively few pores.As the pouring temperature decreases,the density gradually increases and the porosity gradually decreases.When the pouring temperature is 630~0C,the average grain size is 36.36μm,and the average ball coefficient is 0.75.As the pressure increases,the density gradually increases,the pores gradually decrease,and the shrinkage gradually decreases.When the pressure is 150 MPa,the microstructure and mechanical properties of the parts are relatively good.
