On the basis of summarizing the current situation of the development of diamond tools and the existing problems,this paper studies the role of the coating of diamond coated diamond in the diamond tools,and analyses the principle of brazed diamond technology,A new method is proposed to improve the holding force of diamond tool matrix to diamond by improving the adhesion between diamond coated diamond and diamond.A copper based bond sample and a porous metal bond diamond grinding tool are made.The effectiveness of the method is proved by the flexural strength test and the friction and wear experiment.It is proved that this method can improve the wear resistance of the diamond tool,and indirectly proves that this method can improve the holding capacity of the diamond to the diamond.The main work of this project is as follows:(1)The first analysis of brazed diamond technology and plated diamond technology,summed up the points of the diamond brazed diamond tools with high holding force: a.fully wetting of the metal of diamond;b.surface and the metal solder should exist in chemical reaction.Then it is suggested that the process of brazing similar to the coating of diamond is possible to achieve this effect.(2)Based on titanium plating,chrome plating and nickel plating of diamond under inert atmosphere at the temperature of 1050?,and using the SEM microscopic analysis showed that after the high temperature of 1050 ?,and the metal coating on diamond surface chemical reaction of diamond surface becomes rough,but only to maintain the integrity of nickelplated diamond coating.It also summarizes the conditions that can guarantee the integrity of the diamond coating after treatment: a.the metal coating has sufficient ductility and low hardness.b.the plating metal should have a lower melting point(close to the treatment temperature).(3)In order to improve the effectiveness of the way to improve the holding power,a copper based bond diamond spline is prepared by using a variety of diamonds and a flexural strength test is done.Nitric acid dissolving coating was used for Ni-diamopnd treated at different temperatures,and the microstructure and single particle compressive strength were analyzed.Finally,it is proved that this method can improve the flexural strength of the copper based bond diamond sample,but it also reduces the impact toughness of the diamond.(4)The 300 mesh Ni-diamopnd was treated at high temperature.Design of porous metal bonded diamond grinding block by design comparison experiment,and the friction and wear test was done.Through contrast experiments,the wear resistance of the diamond block made by high temperature treatment was evidently improved,the grinding ratio can be increased by 74.74 times.(5)Finally,the 300 mesh Ni-diamopnd was treated at different temperatures.First,it was proved that the wear resistance of the diamond block increased with the increase of the temperature of Ni-diamopnd treatment.After the XRD analysis,it was found that the graphite phase appeared when the temperature was over 1000 ?.Thus the problem of this method and the lifting space are summed up.
