Shale deposit is a common type of ore deposit.The physical similarity model test is an important means to study shale mining technology.As the basis of the model test,the accuracy of the similar material proportioning test has a great influence on the reliability of the model test results.At present,few quantitative studies have been made in the experimental study of similar materials proportioning test,resulting in low efficiency and poor precision of proportion selection.Based on the object of the ore and rock of a shale deposit,the response surface methodology is used to optimize the proportion of shale similar materials.The shale similar materials are made up of filling materials and cementing materials with sand and barite as filling materials,gypsum and cement as cementing materials.Doing central composite rotatable design with sand-binder ratio(the mass ratio of filling materials/cementing materials),cement content(the mass ratio of cement/cementing materials),barite content(the mass ratio of barite/filling materials)as control factors,and with similar materials density,uniaxial compressive strength and elastic modulus as the target parameters.The design scheme has 20 groups of experiments with 3 factors and 5 levels.Compared with the 25 groups of experiments designed by the orthogonal test of the same factors and levels,the workload is less.Analyzing the influence factors of physical and mechanical parameters of similar materials by response surface analysis.The multiple nonlinear regression models of similar materials' density,uniaxial compressive strength,elastic modulus and various factors are established respectively and all the regression models have good fitting.The response surface interaction analysis of influence factors shows that sand-binder ratio,cement content and barite content have significant effects on density,uniaxial compressive strength and elastic modulus of similar materials.The sand-binder ratio and cement content have a significant interaction on density,uniaxial compression strength and elastic modulus.The sand-binder ratio and the barite content have a significant interaction on the density.The cement content and barite content have a significant interaction on uniaxial compression strength and elastic modulus.An empirical equation for selection of shale similar materials ratio is determined.The application and test verification are carried out.It's showed that the maximum relative deviation between the experimental value and the theoretical value of the similar materials target parameters calculated by the equation is 3.40%,which meets the test requirement of shale similar material proportioning test.The validity and applicability of the empirical equation are verified.The empirical equation can be used to optimize the proportion of shale similar materials efficiently and accurately.The research shows that the response surface methodology can be effectively applied to the similar materials proportioning test.
