At present, most oilfields in China have entered the stage of high water cut.The output of oil fields has declined rapidly, and the moisture content has risen rapidly. After injection of water,40% to 70% of the remaining oil resources remain in the reservoir, and the remaining oil distribution becomes more and more complex. This has brought great difficulties to increase production and stabilize production of various oil fields. In the course of oilfield development, the location of the remaining oil is clarified, and the distribution of remaining oil is revealed, which has important practical significance for the increase of oil production and stable production. This article takes the Z well area of Xifeng Oilfield as an example to analyze the geological features, historical development dynamic characteristics and the problems in the development of the oilfield in the study area.Based on the understanding of the structure, sedimentary and physical properties of the oil field, the development characteristics of the oil field are analyzed.,Comprehensive use of petrel software to establish three-dimensional reservoir geological visualization model. Finally, based on the geological model,we use the digital-analog software to fit the history, create a reservoir numerical model in the study area, analyze the characteristics of fluid movement in the reservoir, and define the remaining oil distribution rules in the area,so as to adjust the well pattern and residual for the Z well area in the later period.Oil tapping provides a reliable basis.
