Combining FCC slurry and deasphalted oil to blend road asphalt can fulfill the utilization of the by-product of FCC and solvent deasphalting process and provide high quality road asphalt for road construction.FCC slurry has bad aging resistance,which will cause low penetration ratio of product.The cross-linking condensation process can improve the aging resistance of slurry,but the viscosity and dosage of slurry will greatly increase after reaction,which has deficiency in economic performance.Therefore,it is imperative to develop a new slurry modified technology.The structure of FCC slurry and aging slurry was determined by FT-IR,NMR and GPC,the molecular structure parameters of slurry sample was calculated by improved B-L method.The result indicated that FCC slurry is rich in aromatics and mainly composed of saturated hydrocarbon and aromatic hydrocarbon with side chain structure,the dehydrogenation condensation reaction is the main reason for bad aging resistance of slurry.Based on the characterization result,the modified reaction of slurry with small-molecular aldehyde agent was studied.The experiment result indicates that the aging resistance of slurry was improved and the kinematic viscosity remained stable after modified reaction,which has great profit.According to the kinematic viscosity of modified slurry,the optimum conditions were established:temperature of 180 ?,pressure of 3.0MPa,dosage of modifier 3.0%,reaction time 5h,dosage of catalyst 1.25%.The blending asphalt of modified slurry and DOA has good aging resistance and its properties meet the demand of 70#road asphalt,which penetration ratio can reach 60%.The naphthalene was selected as model compound and respectively reacted with modifier and cross-linking agent.The structure of reaction product was studied through characterization methods.The result shows that although electrophilic substitution happened in both two reaction,the product of each reaction was great difference in structure.The reaction activity of modifier is much lower than cross-linking agent.Based on the reaction of model compound,the mechanism of FCC modified reaction was studied.
