The main way to improve water drive reservoir development is that adjustment well. However, the features of formation and well pattern in heterogeneous reservoir cause reservoir fluid and pressure distribution complex. And adjustment well when drilling abnormal formation pressure leads to blowout, lost circulation or other drilling accidents easily and affects the quality of well completion. Therefore, the research on heterogeneous reservoir pressure distribution and pressure control method of adjustment well is important to drill and well completion of an efficient security.Experiments by two-dimensional model and numerical simulation of heterogeneous reservoirs based on reservoir heterogeneous features of the Bohai oilfield are used to study pressure distribution and fluid distribution under the different geological conditions and features of well pattern. The research on formation pressure distribution includes some typical conditions, such as heterogeneity, interlayer spacing,injection-production ratio, viscosity and well types. Finally, the study optimizes pressure control method and parameters of adjustment well in heterogeneous reservoirs. The results showed that heterogeneity, imperfect of injection-production,well pattern and well type are the main factors that adjustment wells drilled different formation pressure. It gives a maximum pressure prediction method and optimized injection pressure of injection wells surrounding adjustment well to control the formation pressure of adjustment well. Results of this study can be used to design program that injection wells surrounding adjustment well drill and shut, and then provide guidance for drill and well completion in oilfield.
