Sulfur refinery gas production increased year by year,that raised new requirments to desulfurization equipment such as simplicity,low investment and convenient transportation and maintenance.The researchs of new desulfurization equipment are imperative.In this paper,the cyclone reactor with integration of absorption and separation processes was theoretically and experimentally investigated for refinery gas desulfuration,which has the advantages of low investment and high efficiency as the research object.This paper aims to lay a theoretical foundation for basic research and provides the basis for the development of new high efficiency gas-liquid mass transfer equipment.Firstly,base on the research of gas-liquid mass transfer theory,the author determines experimental process and builds a cold model experimental device with cyclone reactor,and gives main factors that can effect experimental results:gas throughput,CO2 concentration,liquid/gas ratio and amine concentration.Hereby,the author designes two kinds experimental schemes about single factor effect and all factors interaction effect.Then,the auhor develops a cold experimental study about the cyclone reactor with single-phase nozzles,the results show that:?1?the cyclone reactor has a low pressure drop,its seperation efficiency is more than 99%;?2?the purification efficiency of CO2 only reaches13%,the experimental values of absorption rate are far lower than theoretical values.Then the author optimizes experimental device by gas-liquid nozzles and develops a new experimental study.The results show that:?1?the pressure drop of cyclone reactor is still low,the seperation efficiency declines a little,but keeps over 96%;?2?the purification efficiency has over 50%and improves significantly,when the gas throughput increases,the gas purifying efficiency decreases first then increases,when concentration of MEA and liquid-gas ratio increases,the gas purifying efficiency will raise;?3?experimental and theory values of absorption rate agree well,when the gas throughput and concentration of CO2 increases,the absorption rate will raise,when the liquid-gas ratio and concentration of MEA increases,the change of absorption rate is not obvious.It shows that the atomization effect of nozzles have a great influence on the desulfurization efficiency of cyclone reactor.Moreover,author builds a correlation modle about absorption rate and phase interfacial area,it is suitable for the cyclone reaction in this experiment.Finally,this paper compares the gas purifying efficiency about CO 2 to the gas purifying efficiency about H2S from both reaction rate and mass transfer force.The result shows that,at the same conditions,the mass transfer force of H2S is three times than CO2,in addition,the reaction rate of H2S is faster,according than,the author predicts the gas purifying efficiency of H2S can exceed 90%using this cyclone reaction.
