Using gas hydrates to store natural gas has good prospects, and this method has caused extensive attention. To achieve this method,we need to deal with the key issue of controlling the decomposition of gas hydrates under low pressure. So we must study the process of the decomposition of gas hydrates. In this research,we mainly study on the process of the decomposition of methane hydrates after adding liquid propane in the pure water system and SDS system. The main contents are as follows:(1)In the pure water system,we mainly investigate the process of methane hydrates decomposition after adding liquid propane. The decomposition rate of methane hydrates would reduce at 274.15 K.But the decomposition rate of methane hydrates would increase at 270.15 K,because of the vaporization of liquid propane, the temperature is lower than the temperature of self-preservation and it has a faster decomposition rate.(2)As for the SDS system,we use the same experimental method with the pure water system to investigate the differences between the two systems. And the decomposition rate of methane hydrates is reduced by adding liquid propane at 274.15 K and 270.15 K.(3)Through studying the mechanism of hydrates decomposition process,we put forward the corresponding assumptions and establish the mathematical model of methane hydrates decomposition process, and the model is in good agreement with the experimental data after the calculation.
