In recent years,we focus on economic construction, the demand for manganese ore is increasing rapidly,so the mining became a hot,but at the lack of follow-up treatment,a large area of Manganese Tailings gradually formed. The reasons for the formation of these manganese tailings reservoirs are that the waste rock and manganese slag left after the manganese ore mining are accumulated in the form of tailings,The abandoned pollutants go through physical and chemical action, which will pollute the surrounding soil, air, water, plants and animals which live in these environments.Especially the pollution of groundwater is very difficult to control and recovery,so the study of migration and transformation process of tailings of heavy metal pollutants in the groundwater is very important, which can provide the basis for the pollution control of manganese tailings. For the movement process of pollutants in the groundwater,we need to establish a model for groundwater movement, which simulate Manganese Tailings area movement in groundwater and monitor the solubility of pollution. This paper reviews a large number of related literature, combined with the numerical analysis software and real data, using the method of shallow groundwater movement model of Xiangtan tailings in the research area of the establishment of numerical simulation,to forecast the migration of pollutants for a certain time segment,at the last,we obtained the important data of solubility observation. The main contents are as follows:(1)Summarizing the achievements of groundwater numerical simulation in various fields, including a variety of softwares for simulating the migration of heavy metals in groundwater system, their development trends and application fields.(2)The meteorological, hydrological, geological, geomorphic and hydrogeological conditions of the tailings dam and its surrounding environment are briefly introduced, and the hydrogeological conceptual model of the study area is established.Presents the simulation tool of--VISUAL MODELFLOW numerical in the study of groundwater pollution migration,VISUAL MODELFLOW has the advantages of powerful function, make it is simple and convenient to simulate groundwater migration of transformation process, the whole package includes MODFLOW,MODPATH,MODFLOWSURFACT,ZoneBudget,MT3Dxx/RT3 D,MGO,and WinPEST.This study successfully used VISUAL MODELFLOW software to establish the mathematical model of hydrogeology of study area, provide a good foundation for the research of manganese metal migration in groundwater and the late transformation process of manganese pollution governance.(3)The mathematical theory foundation of software VISUAL MODELFLOW is studied,Among them are the basic law of seepage,Darcy's law,the equation of groundwater movement and the equation of movement of manganese in groundwater,Based on the hydrogeological conditions and the above numerical analysis results, the basic equation andthe definite solution condition of the three-dimensional finite difference groundwater flow model are obtained. The mathematical theory to explore the types of mathematical methods of creating mathematical model, introduces the finite difference method, which is a numerical analysis method of the first solution,it is differential by difference approximation, has reached to an infinite continuous problem into a discrete problem.(4)The process of groundwater numerical simulation is shown in detail,The first step is to establish a hydrogeological conceptual model based on the background data of hydrogeology research and the natural geographical features of the study area; The second step is to find out the numerical simulation model of the study area, then the third step is to establish the model input parameters, including permeability coefficient, rainfall infiltration coefficient water, degree, dispersion, effective porosity, diffusion coefficient; After inputting the data, the whole model is checked; Finally, the numerical simulation model is applied to predict and analyze the migration of groundwater pollutants in tailings dam,and some suggestions are given for the treatment of manganese metal pollution.
