As a new type of biological treatment technology, microbial fuel cell can not only be anaerobic treatment of organic wastewater, but also can use its special structure to deal with heavy metal wastewater and achieve electricity production. Its advantages are clean, easy to operate and stable production and so on.In this study,we improved the traditional intermittent microbial fuel cell?MFC?and successfully constructed a new continuous flow microbial fuel cell.Under anaerobic conditions, the electricity producing microorganisms acted as catalyst. The power generation capacity of continuous flow MFC was explored, and at the same time the treatment effect to organic wastewater?molasses wastewater and traditional Chinese medicine wastewater?and heavy metal wastewater wastewater(Cr6+,1000mg/L)was investigated. At the same time, bioinformatics analysis of activated sludge which was before and after inoculation of MFC with traditional Chinese medicine wastewater as substrate was carried out by high-throughput sequencing technology. The power generation capacity of different anode substrates was investigated under the condition of external resistance 1000?.The experimental results indicated that when the molasses wastewater was used as the anode substrate, the maximum voltage was 137.8mV,the power density was 0.258mW/m2,and Kulun efficiency was 3.55%;when the traditional Chinese medicine wastewater was used as the anode substrate, the maximum voltage was228.1mV,power density was 0.443mW/m2,and Kulun efficiency was 6.58%.In contrast, the power generation capacity of traditional Chinese medicine wastewater was better than that of molasses wastewater. With the running of the system, the treatment effect to wastewater became more and more obvious. In traditional Chinese medicine wastewater experimental group, the removal rate of BOD was 62.14%and the removal rate of Cr6+was 15.94%,which were both higher than that in molasses wastewater experimental group?59.24%and 11.55%respectively?.However in traditional Chinese medicine wastewater experimental group, the maximum removal rate of COD was 32.53%,which was lower than that in molasses wastewater?49.53%?.The thermal map compared microbial community"Genus"of L1?sludge sample before inoculation?and L2?stable running sample?.Through this comparison we found that both Propionibacterium and Propionibacteriaceaeunclassified?Propionibacterium?were dominant in both L1 and L2 samples.Judging by color,it was found that the proportion of Ruminococcaceaeincertaesedis and other genera of microorganisms increased significantly. While the proportion of Lactococcus and other microbial communities decreased significantly. This shows that with the operation of the system, the environment of traditional Chinese medicine has been changing the composition of the microbial community in the anode, and the degree of adaptation of microorganisms to the environment of traditional Chinese medicine is the decisive factor for the superiority of the microorganisms.
