Rapid prototyping technology is an advanced manufacturing technology developed in the late 1980 s.It is now widely used in various fields of manufacturing industry.Rapid casting is a technology combined rapid prototyping technology and the conventional casting technology.Using rapid prototyping machine to print investment casting wax pattern for casting can avoid making costly mould,which greatly reduce the cost of investment casting,and especially suitable for single or small batch products.It is necessary to develop a low cost and high efficiency of the wax pattern 3D printer.Contrasting the characteristics of SLA,SLS and FDM rapid prototyping technology,and choosing FDM as the forming process of wax pattern 3D printer,wax particles as print materials.According to the principle of FDM prototyping technology,completing the design of wax pattern 3D printer mechanical system.According to the design scheme of the wax pattern 3D printer,design the detailed structure.According to the screw extrusion theory design a three-stage micro extrusion screw,barrel,micro nozzle.Checking the strength of nozzle by thick-walled cylinder theory.Through the motion and force analysis of the worktop,design the X-axis,Y-axis,and Z-axis transmission system.Calculate the holding torque of stepper motor and select stepper motor.Completing the static analysis of the nozzle bracket and the base by using Workbench software to get the stress nephogram and deformation nephogram.Analyzing the results of static analysis and make the improvement of the structure.Using POLYFLOW software to simulate the flow state of melted wax in the metering section of screw and nozzle.Analyzing the influence factors of the extrusion of wax,such as the rotating speed of the screw,the viscosity of the wax,the contraction angle of the nozzle and the length of the die.were analyzed.According to the working principle of wax pattern 3D printer,proposed printer's control scheme.Introducing the main objects of measurement and control.Using Proteus Software to draw the circuit principle diagram of wax pattern 3D printer.
