Polycaprolactone?PCL?,a fully biodegradable plastic,can be completely degraded into CO2 and H2O by microbial effect without polluting the environment.However,because of its low melting point,it is very easy to burn,which is greatly hindered its application in more areas.Therefore,based on studying the various flame retardants,this paper has found a kind of phosphorus-containing biomass material which is natural and returnable to nature,and a kind of intumescent flame retardant is innovatively synthesized which has better ratio of phosphorus,nitrogen and carbon.This new,environmental,sustainable and flame-retardant composite was analyzed.The main research work is as follows:The intumescent flame retardants-adenosine diphosphate?ADP?and adenosine triphosphate?ATP?were used as raw materials containing acid source,gas source and carbon source and further incorporated into polycaprolacone?PCL?by melt blending.The flame-resistant ADP-PCL and ATP-PCL composites were successfully synthesized and their thermal stability and flame retardancy were observed by thermogravimetric analyzer,micro-combustion calorimeter,limit oxygen index instrument.The results show that the thermal stability and flame retardancy of the composites are improved after the addition of ADP or ATP,which is attributed to the phosphorus content of the composites during the combustion of the matrix.And thus the addition of ADP or ATP inhibit the insulation of the barrier gas and thus delay the further combustion or degradation of the composite matrix,and with the increasing contents of ADP or ATP,a better flame retardancy can be achieved.Melamine triphosphate adenosine salt?ATP/C3H6N6?combining with acid source,gas source and carbon source was obtained through chemical method with C3H6N6 and ATP as raw materials,and a novel flame-retardant ATP/C3H6N6-PCL composite were gained by melt blending.The thermal stability and flame retardancy were improved.The improvement of heat stability and flame retardancy is mainly due to the formation of excellent char layer,and with the increase of ATP/C3H6N6 content,the charlayer is more compact and the flame-retardant performance are more excellent.Through the comparison of three kinds of flame retardants and the analysis of its flame retardant effect and the resulting mechanism of the results.ATP contains more phosphorus than ADP,and its acid source promotes the advancement of the composite in advance,which facilitates the early protection of the matrix so that the matrix is no further burned or degraded.The C3H6N6 contains more nitrogen,the formation of the gas source is conducive to the expansion of the char layer of foam,and expansion of the char layer can be better wrapped in the matrix and insulate heat.Therefore,the flame-retardant effect of ATP/C3H6N6 is better than that of ATP,and the flame retardancy of ATP is better than that of ADP.
