The productionof starch in Gansu is huge, the application of starch is mainly concentrated in the food industry, and its application in other industries is low, making the price of starch low, resulting in the slow development of starch. In recent years, with the maturity of starch modification technology,it has made up for the defects of natural starch and expanded the application of starch in industry, such as biomedicine, chemical industry, and textile printing and dyeing.Due to the diversified industrial requirements and high quality development, the single modified starch can no longer meet the performance requirements.Aiming at the problem of single modified starch,a method for multiple modification of starch was proposed.By introducing various functional groups, the performance of the single modified starch was further improved.Multiple modified starches were often called composited modified starch. In this study, pure corn starch, sodium hydroxide, sodium chloroacetate,cross-linking agents, penetrants, and trace organic solvents were added to the solid-phase reaction system to synthesize composited carboxymethyl starch. Finally,a new type of paste with excellent properties is formed by composited carboxymethyl starch as a matrix with other pastes.Through analyzing and testing the viscosity and degree of substitution of the product, the effects of the reaction sequence, time, temperature, amount of cross-linking agent, and amount of auxiliaries on the performance of the final product were investigated. The viscosity of the final product prepared by optimizing the process was14500 mpa.s,with a substitution degree of 0.56(a viscosity of 24000 mpa.s for a large reactor product). The Composited carboxymethyl starch synthesis process is divided into three steps, alkalized reaction starch 300 g,alkali 42 g,30 ?20min;etherification sodium chloroacetate 108 g,penetrant 2g,ethanol 57 ml,water 9.6g,60 ? 30min;cross-linking reaction sodium trimetaphosphate 5 g,sodium carbonate 9 g,fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether 5 g,60? for 50 min.The structural characterization and surface morphological characteristics of the composited carboxymethyl starch were analyzed by infrared spectroscopy,XRD and SEM.The results showed that the structure and surface morphology of the starch changed significantly.Through the analysis of thermal properties, the results showed that the starch's thermal stability was significantly improved bycross-linking and carboxymethyl modification.Through the test of the viscosity of composited carboxymethyl starch compound system, the application characteristics of composited carboxymethyl starch in reactive dyes were studied. The compounding system is mainly composed of composited carboxymethyl starch as matrix and carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, carrageenan, hydroxyethyl cellulose, maltodextrin, konjac gum, agar and gellan gum.At the same time, based on the application of the composited carboxymethyl starch and its compounded novel paste on reactive dye printing, the results showed that the composited carboxymethyl starch and the composited carboxymethyl starch/carboxymethyl cellulose compound paste were printed. The fabric has high definition, good level dyeing, soft hand feeling, and is equivalent to the active printing effect of sodium alginate paste. In addition, the performance of the composited carboxymethyl starch/carboxymethyl cellulose paste in terms of the degumming rate and the color yield is significantly better than that of the sodium alginate paste. This topic adopts a dry method to synthesize composited carboxymethyl starch, which has a simple preparation process and is green and efficient. The synthesized products have a stable structure and broad application prospects. It is of great significance to improve the economic benefits of agricultural products and expand the industrial application of starch derivatives.
