In this paper,the coal dust from coal mining face,jet dust and tunneling dust,which are from Yuejin Coal Mine of Yima Coal Mining Group,Zhaogu1#Coal Mine of Jiaozuo Coal Group and Xinqiao Coal Mine of Yongcheng Coal Mine,are taken as the research object.Furthermore tested TSP,PM10 and PM2.5,also tested the number of particles in different particle size,and collected dust samples.In the laboratory,treat the samples properly,then analysis mineral composition and elemental composition by the result of XRD and XRF,use scanning electron microscopy analysis morphology characteristics of the samples,and tested the surface properties and the loss of each sample,in addition,the number of particles in different particle sizes is calculated by equivalent volume and the number of particles and the percentage of particles in the corresponding particle size are obtained.Through field tests,laboratory tests and inductive analysis,The main conclusions are:First,the mineral composition of dust.The most important mineral composition of the rock dust is quartz?content 55.56%57.99%?,the most important mineral composition of shot dust is calcite?content 27.96%46.30%?,the most important mineral component in coal dust is quartz,but the content is relatively less than rock dust,is from16.54%to 57.95%.Second,the dust elemental elements.The commonly contained metal elements are Ca,Fe,Mg,Mn,Zn and Cu,in addition,return airway coal dust of Yuejin mine,rock dust and jet concrete dust of Zhaogu1#mine,spray concrete dust of Xinqiao coal mine all contain As,coal dust of Yuejin coal mine and rock dust of Zhaogu1#contains Pb.Third,the particle size distribution of dust.The particle size of coal dust is mainly distributed in the range of 2.5?m5?m,the particle size of shot concrete dust is mainly distributed between 5.0?m10.0?m,the particles of the rock dust are the smallest,mainly distributed below 1.0?m.Fourth,the dust concentration characteristics.When produced TSP and PM10 concentration of rock dust is the largest,followed by coal dust,and jet dust is relatively small,but the PM2.5 content changes little;not produced,the concentration of coal dust is the lowest,concentration of rock mine is the highest,this phenomena are related to their ventilation conditions.Fifth,the appearance of dust.The shapes of coal dust is variety,they are flaky,columnar and irregular angular shape;spray concrete dust mostly are spherical,and with a significant phenomenon of cohesion;rock dust are mostly single particles,there are obvious edges and corners.Sixth,the surface properties of dust.Coal dust is showing hydrophobic characteristics,sprayed concrete dust and rock dust are hydrophilic dust.This study only focused on the dust from the dust source,but did not carry out a comprehensive study of the dust in the lane and the bottom of the road and so on.The PM2.5 test data was also relatively small,and the dust hazard characteristics were not studied deeply.there also need to do further research work in the above three areas.
