Research Of Internet Dwelling Design Based On Environmental Psychology

Development of Internet technology has changed not only the dissemination ofinformation but also resource allocation. And it also caused the development of human'slife, communication and reflection. Internet is not only a virtual sharing platform usedto transfer and receive information. And it also brought the formation of a new culturethat influences people's work, study, communication and entertainment and reflectspeople's values, psychology, behavior, knowledge structure and so on. Base on thetheory of environmental psychology, the author expects to research the relationshipbetween architectural space and the new behavior influenced by Internet, the behaviorlocked in Internet and its demand of space. In order to connect virtual space to physicspace more inseparable and make the new mode of life unhindered, the author intends tocreate reasonable space for people locked in Internet by means of architecture andspatial design.The purport of this thesis is to research behavior locked in Internet from home anddesign space that satisfies the requirement from people locked in Internet. In otherwords, the purport is to research the design of Internet dwelling based on environmentalpsychology.In this thesis, firstly, the author defined the behavior of and Internet dwellingclearly by restricting the study population and study scope. Then, the research wascarried on with methods of interview, field survey, questionnaire survey, data collectionand case analysis. In research, author found and compared some space that usuallycontains behavior locked in Internet, such as home of Internet practitioners, CollegeStudents' dormitory, and Internet bar and so on. Research on space environment andpeople involved in these places was carried on. After that, the existing problems ofInternet dwelling was analyzed to discuss the meaning of Internet dwelling design bysurveying behavior locked in Internet, analyzing Internet dwelling and listing theinfluencing factor and classification of Internet dwelling.In view of the exist problem, based on environmental psychology, the principle ofInternet dwelling design was determined and a method of Internet dwelling design wasput forward to guide further Internet dwelling designs at last. Following the designprinciple and design thought of Internet dwelling, this thesis not only focused on asingle Internet dwelling, but also discussed the combination form of Internet dwelling tokeep its variousness in space form and ccompleteness of function. At the same time, thesystem formed with Internet dwelling themselves, status and function of Internetdwelling in the upper level space system was discussed. And its relationship with bothinternal space and outer space were considered.In one word, this thesis was aimed at taking full use of benefits from development of Internet technology, adapting to the development of the information age bysupporting the revolution of life way and providing space that combines networkfunction and residential function for corresponding people and offering space that canmake Internet dwelling alive. Base on the research on the relationship betweenenvironmental behavioral psychology and architectural space, this thesis providestheory evidence for architectural space deign. It expects to create comfortable andhealthy space to keep the younger generation having not only survival but also ideal. Onthis basis, this thesis aimed at creating a harmonious and beautiful living environment.
