During the serbice life of the buildings, alongwith the increase of service life, thesteel inside the buildings should have been corroded. Compared with static loading,repeated loading is more endanger than static loading. Especially in repeated loading,notch of material caused by corrosion leads to the stress concentration phenomenon,which is the main factor in reducing fatigue properties of materials. Then the fatigue ofthe building will be threatened. The most direct and reliable way to obtain the fatiguelife of structural steel is to testing, but the fatigue testing costs so much. The distributionof corrosion morphology in steel structure is random. If the number of testing units islimited, the results will turn to be great dispersion and not obtain the real fatigue life.Therefore, it is very important to research on the fatigue life of corroded steel on thefinite element analysis. The main contents are as follows:The research object of this paper is corroding structural of Q235steel. Combinedwith relevant theory?we can certain a normal S-N curve from enquiring for datahandbook of mechanical function materials. And i will revise the normal S-N curve to anew smooth specimen S-N curve.Obtaining a large number of3D coordinates with high precision on the corrosionsurface by3D non-contact optical profilometer.It will be imported to reverseengineering software Geomagic Studio, which is point cloud of twenty corrosionsurface from ten different models. Then reconstructing corrosion surface rapidly andobtaining the CAD model.Application of Geomagic Qualify CAD model fitting with the originalthree-dimensional coordinated point3D direct comparison, edge error detection,2Dsection error detection, Then we can found in Geomagic Studio after fitting surfaceprecision is very high, to meet the next step of modeling requirements. It can be created in the ANSYS based on the corrosion surface to set upthree-dimensional solid model for static analysis and fatigue life by opening processingmodule FATIGUE. Above the steps, we can get ten different model of fatigue life withdifferent corrosion time. Compared with experimental results, the simulation result isvery small deviation.Then, we can defy that the research method of combining reverseengineering software and analysis software ANSYS finite element analysis to predictingfatigue life is practical and feasible.
