The paper applies finite element analysis of the tower under typical operating conditions to get the stress distribution and stress concentration and identify the risk of fatigue parts; The paper imports the modal neutral file of ANSYS software and Pro/E software to ADAMS software and gains the load-time history curves and data of dangerous parts of tower body by simulation of the ADAMS, which is combined with the proportion of research conditions to be extended to get load spectrum; The paper found the S-N curve of fatigue testing of materials, and got corrected S-N curve by modifying the other effect parameters; Ultimately the paper calculated the life of the tower body by the use of linear fatigue cumulative damage theory Miner; The main work of the paper was as follows:1) The paper descriptions the development course of large tower crane and fatigue theory development direction and gives steps of fatigue analysis-flowchart.2) The paper applies shell element modeling of the tower body structure of the tower crane by ANSYS software and analysis of typical operating conditions to obtain the diagram of stress distribution and to find the location of the dangerous points of stress concentration and local stress.3) According to the characteristics of the work of the tower crane, the paper gains the whole performance of four typical operating conditions, especially the tower body’s dynamic performance curve by dynamics simulation of ADAMS software and gains load-time history curves and data, which is combined with the proportion of the four conditions to be extended to get the final load spectrum.4) The paper applies appropriate choice of the theory of fatigue analysis and is combined with the load spectrum and materials performance curve (the corrected S-N curve) for calculation of the tower crane fatigue life, which researches capacity of lifting and resistance to fatigue of the tower crane structure by calculations results by the finite element and fatigue analysis,.5) The paper researches fatigue of tower body structural of different webs arrangement and selects the most commonly used form of several layout:N-shaped, K-shaped, X-shaped tower body structure; According to the results of analysis in step4, it makes comparison of the fatigue life.
